Aleksei Archer and Alex Guarnaschelli

Aleksei Archer is an incredibly versatile and lively American actor. She was born in New York. The couple was raised in St. Louis and moved swiftly in New York City when she was only a few days old. She graduated in 1991 at Barnard College with a degree in art history. In the same year, she began a job as an entry-level employee at An American Place. However, Guarnaschelli's cooking experience began in the early years of watching her mom try out a variety of recipes at home, while she was editing cookbooks. Following her time at Larry Forgione in New York, France and Los Angeles she also worked in Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. She became the executive chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli competed in 2007 Farmers Market Battle on Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she was up against Cat Cora. Since then, she has been at the show's guest judges and participated in The Next Iron Chef Season Four in 2011, where she placed third. Additionally, she participated on The Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast which she fell short. Her position was upgraded to sous chef in the kitchen of Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the 4th season of The Next Iron Chef.
